I love the start of a New Year, it’s full of hope and promises of better things to come. Unfortunately the year doesn’t always pan out as we wish, but in those first few days of January as we hang up the new calendar and open up the new diary it seems that anything is possible. And this year is a big year for me, it’s my fortieth year as a published author. It’s been a long and varied writing career starting with writing articles and stories for Jackie magazine and other teen magazines then children’s comics, children’s books and now psychological suspense, romance and women’s fiction.

Last year my sixth psychological suspense, Girl Next Door, was published.

And my international bestseller, The Mother in Law, was published in German.

I was delighted to resign with Bookouture for three more psychological suspense novels, the first one will be out in April, and another later this year then the final one in 2026.

My BIG news though is that I also signed a three book contract with Boldwood publishers for golden years women’s fiction. I’m really excited about this as it’s a change of direction for me and a genre I’ve been wanting to try my hand at for some time. The first one will be out in March, the second one later this year and the final one in 2026. I’ll be able to share the cover of the first one, titled The Runaway Wives, with you very soon.

This year will be a very busy year as I have the next two books of each contract to write, so four books in all. Luckily I have my own office room to work in so I can shut myself away.

️I enjoy writing about people and relationships and it’s fun to alternate the tension and twists of the psychological suspense, with the lightheartedness of the golden ladies coping with the ups and downs of their later years and having a blast. I hope you enjoy reading these books as much as I’m enjoying writing them.
